The following guide provides the outcomes of all the possible setting combinations for event visibility and calendar visibility.

The first example, "Shared: See only free/busy" demonstrates the default behavior of Google Calendar. The second and third examples (in bold) are how events are seen by the person whom was delegated/granted the sharing privilege.
