Google Hangouts

Intro to Hangouts

Google Hangouts is now available to Connect customers. Hangouts is an instant messaging tool which allows you to chat online with a person or a group of people. Hangouts is convenient to use, in part because it works on Windows and Mac computers, tablets and smartphones. Also, Hangouts conversations can be sync'ed automatically across devices, so you can start a Hangouts chat on your computer and continue on another device, like your phone.

If you choose to use Hangouts as your Instant Messaging tool, please make sure to read Guidelines on Messaging Etiquette.

Questions or comments can be directed to UCSB Enterprise Technology Service Center (ETSC) or visit our Frequently Asked Questions to see if we have already answered your question.
